Obidos

The trip to Obidos was a great success although we forgot our sun hats, and boy, did we need them.

If you have a reasonable broadband speed you should be able to click on “view full album” and then choose slide show to see a collection of photographs. We had a full day there and thankfully found a windowless restaurant for lunch. Shame we had only our sun glasses with us as the room only had 2 very dim lights and consequently it was quite dark, still it was cool and we needed “cool” more than light or food. Mary had a cheese toasty, I had a Tapas to end all Topas…….., ham, pork, beef, smoked sausage, lamb, bacon, black olives and enough to feed two with leftovers. I later tried to walk it off on the rampart wall which afforded good views over the town. It wasn’t long before I had to return to street level as it was too hot. The town is beautiful with little or no cars as the streets are too narrow. Well worth the visit, if a bit touristy.
